Disability Insurance Medical

Disability Insurance? Medical Insurance?

There are two types of insurance that are sometimes very closely linked: disability insurance and medical insurance. These two types of insurance can often be found together and the policies available can sometimes support one another in a variety of ways. In many cases the one, usually medical, leads to some cover from the other. While the supporting cover may not be as full as full cover, it can be useful if you have nothing else to fall back on.

Medical as Part of Disability

In many disability insurance policies, medical insurance is included for any health related problems that arise as a result of the disability. This means that not only is your income protected but also the disability insurance pays for much of the medical bills that come as a result of your disability. The items covered may cover things like physiotherapy, special care and other items depending on the disability insurance. Medical bills are often a sore point where disabilities are concerned.
